I have worn many titles in my life Daughter, Counselor, Teacher, Wife, Medical Assistant, Track Coach, Master Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Diabetes Educator but these do not define me.
I am a biker, a runner, a beer snob, a box wine drinker, an avid traveler, and animal lover. I generate an amazing energy that I bring to the things I do.
After 20 years of zigzagging across the country, I have worked in education, government, medical clinics, and non-profits. Reinventing myself and always chasing something "better" at each stop, I started to feel like a square peg in a round hole. I would enter each situation with my best foot forward but would soon feel disconnected because I allowed outside factors to define me, "In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions".
Health is more than just a number on the scale. As an Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), I have been teaching the eight aspects of wellness: Occupational, Social, Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Environmental, and Financial; but realized when applying them to my own life, there was something missing. For me, that was Hygge, a Danish concept of comfort, well-being and longevity.
After realizing the changes that applying Hygge brought to my life; I decided to utilize my experience and education to bring it to others. Let me be your coach on the road to well-being.
